Welcome to the 3028 a show about theme park history and pop culture history. I am Matt Parrish and I am Kevin Quigley. Kevin Quigley? Matt Parrish?

Wrap it up 2022. Can you believe that we've been doing the show? I mean you and I basically have been recording together since 2016 even though the show has been around for about six years. I think what if that's what 22 years? I wanted that. It's a long time. 27 years?

It doesn't seem like it's been that long though. Like it's really weird. Like it feels like we just started recording. I'm like oh we have all these shows to do and yet we're coming up on 300 shows.

300 is our is a big magic number for us. I'm pushing to do a little bit more than 300. I'm pushing to do 328. Let's do 3000 and 28. Yeah.

It took you like Jeff visited me this this over the holidays and he's like why don't you just do 3000 28 shows? I'm like that's a great idea. Jeff you know what we that we didn't think of that we should totally do that.

We're Kevin we are back here and this is a show that's mostly about Disney although we do venture off the tracks every once in a while and do other things that we want to talk about and sometimes there.

Things we never thought we do a show about sometimes there's things that we really love like Tiki or Yacht Rock and so thank you so much for listening to all our different shows. I know that some people just want to hear Disney and some people are like oh I'm open to whatever.

This shows for everybody. So basically the stuff that we go off track about. I think that the people who love Disney because it's so much a part of like American history and American pop culture.

I think that those other topics kind of ping you know those receptors as well like Hollywood and Hojo's was a very popular show right our ET the video game show is actually really popular.

So I love ET so much I can do a hundred shows on ET I know I know we we're going to talk about Nintendo at some point and we have we have some yeah we have a lot of great shows.

Coming up but Matt there's our big wrap up show and as we wrap up we want to remind everybody that we are currently and probably for a while listener supported.

What what's happening today what's going on now well we're wrapping up twenty twenty two looking ahead to twenty twenty three although this is not really a look ahead show.

Right so back so look back and we don't always do these we used to say hey we're going to do the end of your show by looking at a rando year or doing whatever but I think here we're actually going to look back because this was kind of a crazy year things reopening.

New things opening and a lot of things actually closing in twenty twenty two and then some shakeups in the in the Disney corporate office and it's been kind of a wild sort of roller coaster a year emotionally.

Socially there's all kinds of things that have impacted what this show will be so Kevin let's just get to it it's twenty twenty two rapology baby let's jump in.
