Welcome to the 3028 Show about theme park history and pop culture history I'm Matt Parrish and I'm Kevin Quigley

Kevin, it seems like throughout this season of the summer and going into the fall you and I have had magic on the mind

we have delved into magic more often than I thought we ever would

which is very very funny we did our David Copperfield show I mean we may have talked about the

Disney magic the ship and then other other magic things and we're not going to break that trend now

now we know this goes all the way back to that yacht rock show where we talked about the occult

in 70s and Olivia Newton John Olivia Newton John America all the magic right and we

keep that going here Kevin with a look at a subject that I honestly didn't know anything about

until you brought it to my attention so this was really fun and then in the course of researching

for the show it made me connect all these dots about different castles and magic stuff happening

across the United States your mind blew up like I was like okay let's just do this like little show

little history a little like sort of a trip report and you're like that sounds great wait a minute

let me just do one little bit of research and then 17 hours later you're like all right so let's

this mansion here and I was like oh my god Matt went completely bonkers and it was amazing I think

this is the teacher brain in me like one thing connects to another connects to another connects

to another and so it's just I think that's the exciting part about doing pods or like even teaching

schools like it's all about learning and like bringing stuff into the fold so we're going to do
