Welcome to the 3028, a show about Disney, nope.

Attention please, Eastern Alliance Flight 72, your fiesta flight to Mexico and the ancient pyramids, now departing at Gate Night.

1:00.6

Welcome to the 3028, a show about theme park history and pop culture history.

1:29.7

I'm Ed Parrish and I'm Kevin Quigley. I almost said Disney history and Disney history because Kevin, this show is in the vein of the OG 3028 shows, the shows you know us and love us for, the Disney listries.

1:44.0

This is a, this is our 155 show all about current Disney news and this is the hub where this is, this is pop American guys.

1:59.2

It's all the failed side projects that we've done. Actually, it's so funny because you just figure out what works on a show and you somehow you just keep coming back to it.

2:08.8

Like, Disney history has just been something we've loved so much and we're so weird, we're so weird about the concepts that we pick, goats, that it's just, I don't know, it's always fun to come back to these shows.

2:20.0

I love our idiosyncrasy, Matt. We too, we've mentioned this before but the longer we go on, the more esoteric are, our topics are going to get and I think people like them.

2:37.5

I mean, you can go to any show and be like, oh, Hidden Mickey's, that's not to say that we shouldn't do a hidden Mickey show because we probably should.

2:44.0

Yeah, somebody showed me the very first Hidden Mickey on Disney property when I was there. It was a custodial arts engineer and it may have been like one of those Disney bus driver things where he's telling me some kind of fact that I know is not true, but it was also kind of awesome so I will, I will save it for the show.

3:03.1

You know, I honestly, I think that we should do a show about like the original Hidden Mickey's before it became a big deal. That'd be fun. But anyway, Matt, we are, we're going to do a history today, we're going to do a Disney history about news, Matt, northeast, west, south, but before we do any of that, let's talk briefly about our sponsor, we're going to talk a little bit about privacy pros, privacy pros.com slash 3028, they are here to help you clear out your internet browsing history.

3:32.2

And your other history in the past, if you've ever forgiven your address and name and phone number to a scam artist or to the DMV, which are a scam artist, this privacy pros are going to help you out, they're going to clear all that stuff out.

3:46.2

So people can't dig into your back history and use it against you or send you a horse fancy magazine, equestrian life, and, and, you know, other magazines that you don't want or, you know, why do people read magazine and Shama Weekly came out monthly, it was weird.

4:04.2

Anyway, so go to privacy pros slash 3028 to sign up for a consultation with Parker. But right now, Matt, I, I think that we should, we should jump into our episode and we should take a sharp right and go into phase two of the show.

4:34.2

One of the best things about Disney parks is the signage. We've had shows about signage in the past, you know, the ride signs, the restaurant signs, but one specific area of signage in Disney parks that we haven't touched on yet is directional signage.

4:58.2

The signs that are supposed to be there to tell you where to go and how to get there. And because Disney is Disney, most of these directional signs are not just boring like, oh, go over this way and it's fine.

5:13.2

They are themed to the land they're in, they're special and they are works of art in and of themselves. So Matt, do you notice these signs or do they sort of fade into the background for you?

5:24.2

No, I love these signs. In fact, we were just talking on about my trip to Universal and that was one of my criticisms was I felt like when we walked to Universal from Cabana Bay, there just wasn't enough signage.

5:38.2

And I think I'm so used to signage around Disney property and theme parks that when I was at Universal, it just felt like I didn't know where I was going. And so not only do I find these helpful, I also find them to be artistic and fun and thematic.

5:53.2

And all the things they're supposed to be, like they really resonate with me, Cabana. I love them.

5:58.2

I love all of this stuff. And we've got a fairly hefty list today and some of these are going to be once recognized, some of them are going to be from the past.

6:07.2

And Matt, so we're doing this and I wrote some of this and then Matt said, oh, by the way, we need to do this one.
