Stephanie had never seen anything quite like Tulip.

It was a new restaurant downtown that had a years-long waiting list.

But somehow, Lucas had managed to get them a table. And so now, she found herself sitting

across from Lucas at the fanciest place she had ever eaten. Have you ever experienced a dinner like this?

asked Lucas, as the server walked away from their table.

In between them sat a rotating tray, offering the most beautiful bites of food.

Never.

It's crazy, right?

I'm so glad I was able to get us in.

They indulged for the next hour, ordering as much as they

could. Every plate was designed exquisitely. They ate the most tender cuts of beef,

the fluffiest buns, and the most interesting blends of flavors. Desert came with an audio and video presentation.

When they were stuffed full and Lucas had paid the extravagant bill, they walked out of

tulip hand in hand.

"'M back to mine?' asked Lucas, giving his girlfriend's hand a squeeze. It was a no-brainer. Lucas lived in a

beautiful townhouse, overlooking the river and the rest of the city. Stephanie was always stunned

when they walked inside. Her modest one-bedroom apartment could never compare.

Not that it mattered.

"'Come here,' said Lucas, as they entered the living room. The furniture was sleek and modern,

in various shades of cream and rust. There was still such a coziness to the space,

despite its contemporary style. Lucas held Stephanie by the waist and kissed her softly.

It was delicate and sweet, but Stephanie was in the mood for something more urgent.
