0:34.6	indicating that he wouldn't have enough support to actually win a vote for House speaker

0:40.8	Emmer currently serves as the majority whip in the House.
0:44.1	Former President Donald Trump was critical of Emma recently.
0:48.1	He wrote on social media, I have many wonderful friends wanting to be Speaker of the house and some are truly great warriors.
0:56.5	Rhino Tom Emmer, who I do not know well, is not one of them.
1:01.3	It's worth noting that Emmer voted to certify the 2020 presidential
1:06.1	election. But now Republicans look like they're going to have to be back
1:10.7	behind closed doors for meetings to decide who that next speaker nominee will be.
1:16.8	The other candidates who ran against Emmer and who may now try again to win that nomination
1:22.3	include Jack Bergman of Michigan, Byron
1:25.3	Donald's of Florida, Kevin Hearn of Oklahoma, Mike Johnson of Louisiana, Austin
1:30.8	Scott of Georgia, and Pete Sessions of Texas.
1:34.0	Emmer is the third speaker nominee to drop out of the race, Steve's Gleis, and then Jim Jordan,
1:40.2	of course both initially received that nomination but didn't have enough
1:44.3	support on the floor of the house to actually win the gavel so we're going to
