0:28.0	But earlier this week, the gang got together at the Building Energy Summit in Washington, D.C.
0:32.0	to talk about the future of building design.
0:36.1	And in this installment, we bring you that discussion.
0:39.3	We were joined on stage by a few other experts in this area, and I'll introduce them for you.
0:44.0	First was John Picard, the founder and CEO of John Picard and associates.
0:48.0	He's a well-known consultant on all things related to sustainable design
0:52.0	and was an early advisor to President Clinton's effort on all things related to sustainable design,
0:52.6	and was an early advisor to President Clinton's
0:54.8	effort to green the White House back in 1993.
0:58.1	I asked him to describe that process.
1:01.3	You know, what happened in the Green of the White House with President Clinton was interesting.
1:05.0	I was sitting on the steps of the Indian Treaty room
1:10.0	and Vice President Gore came by and then Katie McGinni came in and got connected but I was so
1:17.4	over my head with all the security issues and all of the disconnects that could have happened
1:22.0	in the White House that I reached out and discovered
1:26.0	Rick Fadresi and discovered Mike Italiano and David Gottfried and that team is the team that really did the Green of the White House but we actually
1:34.3	did the work at the old executive office building which everybody's pretty familiar with.
1:39.4	We also welcomed Roger Frishette on stage.
1:42.2	He's the managing principal at Interface Engineering.
1:45.0	Roger has played a key role in designing some of the most visible buildings in the world,
