Greetings Clark's World Citizens, I hope this second podcast of the month of June 2016 finds you extraordinarily

well. We've had some wacky weather up here in the northeast. It was super hot

and now it's super cold.

I'm hoping Mother Nature actually figures out what she wants to do.

You know, being summer and all.

But wherever this podcast finds you, I hope that your weather is nicer and that you're enjoying the outdoors and that you're getting your stuff done while listening to the podcast.

So our second piece is titled Things with Beards. It is by Sam

J Miller and this is for issue 117 June 2016.

Now Sam is a writer and a community organizer.

His fiction has appeared in Light Speed, Asimov's, Clark's World, Apex, Strange Horizons, and the Minnesota Review, among others.

His first book, a young adult science fiction novel called The Art of Starving,

will be published by Harper Collins in 2017.

His stories have been nominated for the Nebula and the Theodore Sturgeon Awards

and he's a winner of the Shirley Jackson Award.

He currently lives in New York City.
