I want to share with you today some things that I used to think, that I used to believe, that

are kind of embarrassing now when I look back with a few more years under my belt with a bit more experience

having gone through some of my own expansions and shifts and changes

and there is a reason. There is a reason I'm sharing these with you which we will get to at the end of this short episode.

But I want to share just some random thoughts and beliefs that I used to have in past years that really felt true for me at the time.

The first one is, and this was certainly, what, maybe 20 years ago, because I'm 39 now.

I used to think that age 30 was really old.

Oh gosh now to meet your 30-year-olds I'm like, wow, what a spring chicken.

But I remember being my 20 early 20s thinking, wow, 30 is really old.

You really need to have your life figured out by then.

You need to own a house.

You need to have kids you need, you need, you need, you need, you need.

It just seemed old to me, of course. We see things from the perspective of where we're at the time.

But I remember even thinking, wow, people who are over 30 shouldn't even have sex because it's so old.

And how much I laugh at that now, that belief that I used to have, especially now because

what I'm nearly a decade older than what I used to consider old.

And I think that I'm really young. I think that I'm really young I think that I'm so

young and in my prime like I'm just getting started in my life I used to think

too that New York City was the only place to live.

The only place to live if you wanted to have a good life, if you wanted to have a cool life,

if you wanted to maximize your life.
