Summary

In a somewhat surprising decision, the Knicks fired head coach Tom Thibodeau on Tuesday fresh off a trip to the conference finals. Pete and Darius react to the news, discuss the merits of making this change now, discuss the shrinking windows to contend under this collective bargaining agreement, and much more. And then later the guys discuss the offseason dominoes of Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokoumnpo and how the Lakers can be opportunistic in trades even if they don't get the star in the deal.

0:48.6

situations around the NBA between Janus and KD that want to get into a little bit later,

0:54.3

0:57.9

But talk to me, let's start out with Tibbs, man.

Was not expecting that news this morning.

1:02.0

I was going to ask you, how surprised were you that they made this move?

1:07.0

Pretty surprised.

1:07.9

I think they have gone about as far as you could expect them to in most years. Although I think that going into the conference finals, I thought the Knicks were clearly the fourth best team.
