Shine, what do you want to start with this morning? Well, Greg, we just heard from the manager of the Boston Red Sox. Let's hear from the head coach of the New England Patriots. Mike Vrable was in Indianapolis speaking to media, and he was asked about free agency and the cap, and he made an interesting analogy. Here was Patriots head coach Mike Vrable. I've never really tried to get focused. You know, I mean, if I shop at Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom or something, I've gotten to the point now in my life where if I want something, I can usually buy it. You know, I'm sure Richard Miller and Elliott and Matt Groh will work and do everything that they can to help us sign the players within certain exceptions. I just, I haven't even gotten that far.

Just if you like something, usually just try to buy it.

Sure, can be an application that the time that I think there's always time to be aggressive but not reckless.

And we certainly understand what premium quarterbacks cost in this league and where they get

to and what they should be compensated.

So, you know, we'll do our best to build and continue to build a roster worthy of competing

for a championship.

So a couple things to unpack in there.

Number one, we alluded to it earlier briefly, but

is that a burn some cash moment? Are we now holding Mike Rable accountable on spending big

money if he needs to? He says if he wants something. He likes to go to even Marcus. He can afford it.

Nothing is cheap at Neander Marcus. He can afford it. Nothing is cheap at Neiman Marcus.

He can afford it. If he wants A.J. Brown, he can afford it. If he wants Max Crosby, he can afford it. I mean, that's the truth. Any team can afford anybody in the NFL right now. You make $400 million before they sell a ticket. That's what I took from that is that like, all right, if we feel like there's a player that's really going to be able to help us and it costs some money, we can afford it and we should be able to pay it.

Now, the question is, is Robert Kraft aligned the same way when it comes to that financial way of thinking for this football team as Mike Ravel?

And I know he said, well, we're not going to be

reckless, but if you know what, he talked about the quarterbacks and how much they cost, so you know what you have and Drake May right now and where he is contract-wise. Yeah. So you want to put as many pieces around them as you can before you've got to pay what 50 60 million a year yeah i guess it becomes

you know what is what is his definition of reckless and what is robert craft's definition right

robert craft is going to have to pay i'm assuming christian gonzalez he's going to have to

eventually pay drake may right so is he willing to be reckless with uh and j brown or whatever it up being. How much money did he get in that private equity deal when they sold 10%? It was a lot. It was like, was it 800 million? I mean, it was 10% of value. And it was 8 billion, I think. So 800 million or whatever. I mean, I think Mike Brable has the cachet that Gerard Mayo lacked to make these kinds of statements. Yeah, all right. That's excellent. That's encouraging. Yeah, it is. It's very encouraging because I told you, this offseason is going to be critical for this football team. Yeah. You have the opportunity to be right back in the mix next year. I love it. Take advantage of it. A dude is not buying tough skins at Sears. He's going to Neiman Marcus.

Yeah, he's going to Sacks.
