"For there is nothing lost, that may be found, if sought." Words of wisdom courtesy of Edmund Spenser (and Colonel Brandon, as played by the inimitable Alan Rickman, RIP). And I'm taking them to heart in this episode, as we get to discover two Christie television adaptations that were not readily available to us until quite recently, a Poirot and a Marple. It isn't often that I can say this, but: hooray for the Internet!
You can now pre-order Sweet Spot, the third book in my Ghostwriter Mysteries series! It comes out in late June 2026, but pre-orders are hugely helpful to me. Thank you, as always, for your support.
Here are the links to the two television episodes discussed in this podcast episode: Poirot in the U.S. from 1962, and Estonian Miss Marple from 1990. Enjoy!

You can also buy The Busy Body, the first book in my Ghostwriter Mysteries series, in paperback at your bookseller of choice (make it an indie if you possibly can) in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia and New Zealand.

| 0:41.1 | until weeks ago, through the power of YouTube, and those generous enough to upload this content |
| 0:46.8 | and share it with all of us. We've got a Poirot and a Marple to discuss two episodes of television, |
| 0:52.5 | and I linked to them in the show notes of my |
| 0:55.1 | previous episode, but I've also provided links in the show notes of this episode. So if you |
| 1:00.1 | haven't yet watched them and you'd like to, just pause right here and give it a watch. |
| 1:05.8 | Each of the episodes is a little under a half hour, so it won't take up more than an hour |
| 1:09.3 | of your time and I think it will be an hour well spent. One announcement I want to make up top is that my third mystery in the |
| 1:16.5 | series I've been putting out in the world, the Ghost Writer Mysteries, is now available for pre-order. |
| 1:21.9 | This means I can tell you what it's called. The title is Sweet Spot, because I've now officially written myself into an alliterative |
| 1:29.6 | trap with busybody, loose lips, and Sweet Spot, but that's okay. |
| 1:34.6 | This mystery takes place in the American Southwest in southern Utah, and while the setting |
| 1:39.8 | isn't very Christieish on its surface, I don't think any of you will be surprised to hear that there are a ton of Christie's I drew on while writing this one, because this is actually my spin on an impossible crime or a locked room mystery. |
| 1:55.0 | We've got a body that appears within a fully enclosed desert compound, and no one has any idea how it got there, |
| 2:03.5 | let alone who may have been responsible for the murder of this person. Without being too |
| 2:08.4 | specific, I can say that while I was writing this one, I was thinking about the Siddiford mystery, |
| 2:14.2 | towards zero, the mirror cracked from side to side, and another title I can't mention |
