Hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Getting Hammered.

I'm your host, Mary Catherine Ham.

I am here, as always, with my buddy Vic Mattis of the Washington Free Beacon.

How are you doing?

It was a long weekend.

My goodness.

Mary Catherine, yes, it was a long weekend.

And I'm still recovering.

So went up for a birthday.

Every day is a recovery day for Vic.

For me, it is.

Went up to New Jersey for another birthday dinner,

but I insist this one is not for me. I insisted this is not about me. This is my father

whose birthday was last month, but it was the only time we can get the date to work out.

Well, there was a full month of Vic Fest in there. Priorities first. You know, it's only my dad's

85th birthday. It's not a big deal.

And so I want to give a special shout out to Charlie's of Lindcroft, which is the restaurant.

And that's where we had this big celebration for a lot of our family, a couple of my dad's friends.

And it was great because my brother-in-, arranged it so that we can have their wine cave

private room all to ourselves, which was fantastic. And he was able to do this because, well,

he has his inside connections. You see, my brother-in-law works for the construction company

that also owns the restaurant. I'm sure you're thinking, I know what you're thinking.
