VICE's 2030 Fellow Samir Ferdowsi spoke with Setareh Soroush, The Women's Rights Director for Middle East Matter's, a community of online activists aiming to bring untold stories and news from the region across borders and in front of Western audiences.

We sat down with Soroush to find out how the organization works, and what being a Middle Eastern activist in a volatile and sometimes, downright dangerous digital landscape looks like.

0:40.1	So can you tell us a little bit about the 2030 project?
0:43.2	Definitely. So Vice's 2030 project is a fellowship program for one year, and basically the
0:48.8	goal of it is to look into the future and really figure out what we need to do by 2030 to make the world
0:55.4	a little bit more habitable and more feasible place for everyone to live on. There's five of us
1:00.2	residents here and we're coming from all across the country looking at different areas of
1:04.5	how we can improve as a human race. So we're about to listen to 2030 Project's latest drop,
