Another week and Theresa May stumbles on with her Brexit offering The coup against the Prime Minister failed to go anywhere

and a leadership challenge seems to be on hold for the moment. Meanwhile there was some movement from Brussels

as the political declaration that outlines the basis for the long-term

relationship between the UK and the EU was published and yes there are lots of

uncertainties about what life is going to look like on the other side.

So George Parker, let's begin with the failed coup.

When we were calling this time last week, Steve Baker, who's the organizer behind the European

Research Group of MP, said he was going to have the names by the end of Friday

then it was by the end of Monday then it was sometime this week and now we're told

it's a process not a moment so what's been going Well, Steve Baker is supposed to be the master strategist behind the European Research

Group and I think as Lyndon Johnson once said, the first rule of politics is learned to count.
