Summary

This episode is all about staying in your lane and running your own race. Too often we focus our attention on what everyone around us is doing, and use those observations as markers for success in our own lives. Do we even truly want that for ourselves? Do we feel ready for that? Do we need that? I think it's important to remind ourselves every now and then that life isn't a journey that looks the same for everyone. Stop looking at who's behind, alongside or in front of you - it doesn't matter. Focus on living a life that feels authentic and joyful and fulfilling! I love you guys - thanks for tuning in again. If you enjoyed today's episode please don't forget to subscribe, rate and review! THANK YOU :)

behind you or next to you. Way too often

we spend so much time concerning ourselves with what everyone else is doing and where they

0:45.5

are in life and what they've achieved and what they haven't achieved and what we've achieved

0:48.6

and what we haven't achieved that we're not actually focusing on getting ourselves to the point

0:53.8

that we want to get to because we're too busy focusing on getting ourselves to the point that we want to get to

0:54.8

because we're too busy focusing on whether or not everybody else is at that point yet.

0:59.7

So that's what I want to talk about today.

Out of high school, you get the pressure once you've found your partner to get married,

1:13.1

have kids. We all know that I've spoken about this on the podcast before. I loved the response

to that podcast, by the way. So many people with the same mindset, love it. Great. Fantastic.

But yeah, we all know. If you've ever been in a relationship it's like longer than a year or two it's the whole so when are you going to get married when are you going to have kids when you're going to move in when you're going to buy house when you're and the expectation to start running that race and new pressure to make sure that you don't lag behind and that if your friends start having kids, that you've

1:44.4

got to also have kids because then you're the only one that's not going to have kids.

And if you're the only one that's not getting married, then you're single forever and all

your friends are getting married.

And it's like it's no matter what stage you are in life, there are so many little subtle

pressures, whether it's from people you know or friends or strangers or
