Summary

There’s a direct relationship between the size of our worry and the size of our faith. Many of us say that God is good, so why do we struggle to think he cares for our basic needs? In this message, we have a second conversation about anxiety and look at Matthew 6 for one of the most important truths that can help us in the midst of our worries.

0:32.0	And we are excited to continue this series therapy. We
0:34.9	kicked it off last week and we began to explore a crucial topic, especially right
0:40.8	now and that's mental health.
0:43.3	And how the church, and really the Bible,
0:45.6	speaks to these issues, because it does, over and over and over.
0:49.4	This is an issue that we had planned before COVID and Corona had even happened doing a series
0:54.8	called therapy addressing mental health specifically these first few weeks were
0:58.1	camping out on anxiety because it's too big of an issue to hit in one night. But furthermore, we had planned this even before COVID
1:05.9	happened and then it was like if our nation ever needed to go through therapy, it is now.
1:10.1	This is a time where we all need to do some work and specifically as a way to anxiety and depression and having mental health.
1:19.0	God cares about you. He wants you to experience that.
1:22.0	And so we're going to look for the next few weeks at his word. There was a study that was done I referenced last week of just how important this is, of anxiety is not going away. If anything, it's getting worse. And it referenced that the average psychiatric patient in
1:34.1	1950 had the same levels of anxiety as a young person today.
1:39.3	Think about that.
1:41.0	And yet for Christians, God over and over talks about this subject where he says,
1:44.5	I want you to experience a life that is not ruled and owned by fear or anxiety.
1:48.9	We start by telling a kind of funny thing that's relevant to our team.
