Jennifer Chacon and Emily Bearley. Thank you guys for coming on. It's so good to see you for the video to be here because we can't

freaking wait to talk about this week's episode. Such a good one for therapists. I mean my god it's uh you know I guess the first question so this week on the Bachelor,

they had on this therapist that like I mean she's on she's got the tattoos they bring on the therapist and he's going to go on

couples therapy with each of the women and which is insane. I mean which is I hate to use a clinical word for it but it's insane. It is.

Okay thank you. I'll let the good doctors use that one. But I would say so the whole idea being that they were going to get to know each other in a

psychological way is that what you got how did you guys see it?

Well okay so they're obviously always trying to be on theme and they're an Austria so they're like ah Freud.

So she's a psychoanalysis like right so they follow like Freud's whole thing which is not actually couples therapy.

Like Freud doesn't do couples therapy it's individual.

So what do you let me ask you something because something that was very noticeable is that they're calling this woman a psychotherapist.

What is the difference between a therapist and a psychotherapist?

Okay well you know it's interesting and then I think I don't know I think it was Rachel was like oh she's a psychologist she's not a psychologist so she's they're calling her a psychoanalyst and then a psychotherapist they kept interchanging.

But what that tells us now obviously we're in the United States we're not Austria I don't know what their qualifications are but in the United States when somebody's going by psychoanalysis or psychotherapist a lot of times that means that they're not actually licensed or credentialed.

It means they took the training but didn't apply for the board certification and take the fancy exams.

So we're assuming that maybe so there is a chance but we're not accusing that this was an actress of some sort who had taken the you know a couple classes I mean that could be the what happened.

Yeah I mean it's a bachelor right?

In fact in case she played the part decently well.

Okay.

The toughest I think the toughest part probably for us we watched it separately mind you so this is the first time we're talking about it together.

You know we're very biased because we're both licensed marriage and family therapists and you learn a very specific way of doing couples therapy.
