Romans chapter 6 and we're dealing tonight with the issue of a couple things.

One is why don't I just sin all I want?

Why don't believers just sin all that?

I've even heard some people accuse us of believing that it's okay to sin all you want.

I've heard this many times and you will hear it again because people just say this sort of thing.

So Roman six deals with this, but then after dealing with sort of that sort of

twisted distortion of Christian belief, it deals with the real issue of how believers deal with

sin and how I can overcome sin and temptation. And this to me is the biggest

battle of the daily Christian life is the battle against the flesh, the battle against

sin and temptation.

So here we are going through the Book of Romans.

Different topics come up and I like to introduce even to study to tell you kind of here's some of the topics that come up but most importantly to realize

it's the passage we're understanding not just the topic.

We're going through Roman six to try to look at it and you should be able to read it afterward.

You should be able to read it afterward. You should be able to

tonight after you've heard this whole thing and studied it. You should

be able to sit down alone, read through the passage and go, I understand this.

I know what this is saying now. I understand each sentence and each phrase, you know, at least a whole lot better than before, because we're trying to understand the scripture in the word of God, not just sort of let me occupy you for an

hour as I pontificate about things I think are important that kind of thing.

Rather understand the passage because the scripture is written for us that we may be thorough equipped for every
