Summary

Christians all over the world are starting to think about what it would look like to win the nations to Christ; a “mere-Christendom,” as some have called it. However, there’s a lot of theological heavy-lifting that needs to be done if we’re going to make this work.

*Both Pastor Joel and Pastor Jared acknowledge that several Credobaptist churches do serve the Lord’s Supper to Paedobaptists. It’s also worth noting that the CREC is not an exclusively Presbyterian denomination, but a communion of reformed and evangelical churches.

Applied. I'm your host,

0:21.6

Pastor Joel Webbin with Right Response Ministries. In this episode, I was able to sit down and have a

conversation with my friend Jared Longshore. Jared Longshore has been a part of founders' ministries

with Doug Wilson and Christchurch. He's one of the pastors there. And what we talk about in this

0:47.5

episode is just all of the unity that we have and, unfortunately, some of the division that we continue to have as

0:56.7

reformed Baptist and reform Presbyterian brothers and sisters in the Lord. So we talk about

1:02.1

how we see an uprising on both sides of the aisle, Presbyterian or Baptist, in terms of

1:07.7

eschatology, hopeful eschatology, post-millennial eschatology, and the need for

1:13.5

God's standard to be enforced by the civil magistrate in our civil affairs as a society. So talking

1:21.0

about the an theonomy and different expressions of theonomy, but then also talking about the ways

1:27.4

that we differ in our

1:28.2

views of the covenants. And of course, we also talk about that recent episode of Cross Politics

1:35.1

where they said Baptist caused transgenderism. Baptist caused transgenderism. So we get Jared's take on

1:42.6

that and we laugh a little bit because we're friends and we're able to get over these kinds of things. So we get Jared's take on that and we laugh a little bit because we're friends

1:45.1

and we're able to get over these kinds of things. So tune in. I think you'll enjoy.

1:49.8
