I'm yardly and I'm fascinated by these stories. So I invited my friends detectives Dan and Dave to help me gather the best true crime cases from around the country and have the men and women who investigated them tell us how it happened.

I'm Dan and I'm Dave where identical twins from small town USA. Dave investigated sex crimes and crimes against children. He's now a patrol sergeant at his police department.

Dan investigated violent crimes. He's now retired. Together we have more than two decades experience and have worked hundreds of cases.

Really, really good. I'm looking at Dan and Dave's watches and I'm feeling kind of naked here. This is a new development actually. Is it two days ago I flew down here after working a graveyard shift. So I was probably at about 5% brain capacity that day much like I was this morning. And they kind of surprised me. It took me to a jewelry store and gave me my Christmas present because I'm going to be working during Christmas and took me to a place where Dan got his watch. I assume.

No different Dave. We took you to a pawn shop. There's a difference. So they surprised me with by me a watch. So it's like the child with the new toy. It goes everywhere with you sleep with it. Yeah, I'll spend doing some bling there that looks good. It is. I'm going to be a robbery victim.

Paul, it's always such a pleasure to see you. I think you are now the busiest man in the world. It's been busy. I don't know if that description is right, but I couldn't imagine being any busier than what I've been. I bet you have, of course, the wildly successful the murder squad podcast, right, which were all big fans of. And the fantastic DNA of murder on oxygen, which were also all big fans of. That's great.
