Summary

Lance, Ali, and Mari break down Demi Vollering’s dismantling of her GC rival, Annemiek van Vleuten, as well as the rest of the field (including her teammates and pre-race leader Lotte Kopecky) to take a commanding grip on the GC lead with a race-defining ride on the mythical, flog-shrouded Col du Tourmalet. They also discuss Kasia Niewiadoma’s hugely impressive ride to take both second on the stage and in the GC, Kopecky putting in a great ride to finish 6th and stay in contention for the final podium, as well as Van Vleuten looking off her best throughout this race.
