Great to be here, really rethinking this lame duck period, huh?

Yeah, yeah, it's usually the boring period in politics, but as we've experienced, it's

anything but. So of course, there's a lot to unpack on the show today. We're going to

discuss questions of the security state. What's the best path to move forward? We're learning

more details into who funded what happened last week with the Capitol Hill riots. So we'll

give you those details just a lot to get to. And obviously that's the big news story

of the day, probably the big news story moving forward for at least the next several days.

But I did try to include some other important news stories in the rundown today, including

Biden had to say in regard to stimulating the economy under his watch. Some promising

statements there, obviously I'm a little bit skeptical, but it doesn't matter. We'll talk

it out later. I think it's also important to discuss how the surveillance state continues

chugging along even without the incident that happened in the Capitol, the riots. So there's

a story regarding 247 surveillance in St. Louis in the form of basically planes that just

fly over entire communities 247 and indiscriminately surveil every single person living in these

communities. That's a huge problem. Aerial surveillance, we expected it to happen if

we didn't fight back and we're already seeing it happen. So we'll discuss that. And again,

it's actually separate from these proposals to beef up national security with additional

laws and regulations, which I don't personally think we need. We have the infrastructure necessary
