1:22.8	actors' strike. A bunch of films with big stars like Dune 2 and challengers with Zendaya were pushed to
1:29.1	2024. And then a bunch of movies came out in the summer and fall with no actors allowed to
1:33.7	even talk about them. We talked about some of the losers from the strike on the show before.
1:38.4	But even with all those challenges, we did see some movie stars rise and fall this year.

1:45.2	Salome got a big boost from Wonka, my favorite movie, which is at about 400 million worldwide
1:51.0	in counting. It's a big success. That's an IP-driven project, but I think it really helps with
1:56.2	the perception in town that Chalamee matters when opening a movie now. Same with anyone but you, the Glenn Powell and Sydney-Sweeney rom-com.
2:04.5	It's a real test for them, and it's doing okay in theaters, about 30 million over the holidays.
