Summary

LIV officially launches, and the pace of this Year in Review series slows considerably. This part covers, essentially, two weeks -- the RBC Canadian Open, which was opposite the inaugural LIV London event, and the U.S. Open, arguably the championship of the year in men’s golf. Andy and Brendan delight in the absurdities of the first actual LIV event and some of the drama around it that carried over into the week at Brookline. This is the usual SGS approach to the year in review, focusing more on the amusing, inane, and extraordinary and it will continue to roll out over the next couple weeks in multiple parts to be enjoyed at your convenience during the holiday season.

0:39.0	It is December 21st, Andy. How are we doing?
0:43.0	Brendan, I'm doing all right. I got to apologize ahead of time.
0:47.0	We've got a big, big tree management project going on right across the street.
0:55.0	I actually very sad to see this tree go. It's a gorgeous, giant tree on my block that not really sure.
1:03.0	It seems like it's murky. It could be some drama on the block, you know, with why the tree's going.
1:10.0	What does that mean?
1:12.0	Well, it's providing too much shade. Is it leaning on a house, power lines?
1:17.0	Can it just you moving in, trying to get an imposed or will, thumb on the scale, taking out trees?
1:23.0	If I had my way, the tree wouldn't be going anywhere, but it could be somewhere.
1:28.0	And, you know, it's kind of a bummer. It's like this, like it's got to be a hundred plus year old oak.
1:36.0	It's beautiful. It's a specimen tree.
1:40.0	And, you know, I think the people that have the oak in the yard are worried about it, the branch falling.
1:47.0	Oh, okay. All right. Well, that may be the noise in the background of this episode.
1:51.0	It's which is your view part.
1:53.0	It's huge. It's crazy to watch these guys, like this tree, like overhangs to houses.
1:59.0	And they're having to, it's huge. It's massive.
