Summary

This episode we catch up on each other's projects and review what we've been working on during the past month. Because of summer travels and schedules, it has been a month since we recorded an episode with our usual segments. There is lots of summer stalking and discussion of summer knitting and yarns. We both acknowledge that even though fall will be here soon, during these warm months it is sometimes hard to knit a big heavier-weight project. Lighter sweaters and garments and shawls are on the needles now and taking up most of our stalking time. Despite the summer heat, the Yarniacs Colors of Fall 2015 #yarniacscolors2015 KAL is going strong with many participants and many of us thinking of Fall outfits.

This photo was taken during recording. Boo helped himself to Gayle's felted laptop bag, aka Boo's felted cat bed. All the different variations of purple made us smile. :) So pretty and so predictable, LOL.

0:23.8

yeah, once again, we're in the middle of what Santa Cruz natives call a heat wave. And this is mild

0:30.0

compared to most parts of the world. But yeah, and mild compared to a couple of days ago when

0:36.0

it was near 100 degrees. It was 100 in my yard. Yeah. Yep when it was near 100 degrees.

0:38.5

It was 100 in my yard.

0:42.9

So what are you wearing?

0:44.2

Actually, I'm not wearing anything knitted today, and I'm just going to mention what I have worn in the last week or so is my drifting, once again cecily glower mcdonald i know i talked about

0:57.5

that a couple of episodes ago and i happened to look it up in my robbery projects area and i realized that

1:07.0

i've actually knit two driftings one of which I gave away to my sister many years ago,

1:12.4

and I find, well, I'm realizing I really just need to make another.

1:17.8

And I think I have a skein of yarn that's a little bit less yardage than I used for mine,

1:24.6

but I'm thinking I might just make a shorter version and call it done because apparently

1:29.1

it's a sweater I wear a lot. Exactly. How about you? What are you wearing? So I was actually

1:35.4

wearing this up until about five minutes ago and I had to take it off. Even though it's not too hot,

1:41.3

I am wearing my finished, a hint of summer pullover by Isabel Kramer. This is a sweater
