We will have a Ravelry group soon with all the details.
Knitting, for both Gayle and I, is far more than simply working with beautiful yarns and fibers. We both love the relationships we have built with old and new friends. This podcast has been so amazing in that respect, bringing us together with kindred spirits that we may not have otherwise met--folks from all over the country, and all over the world. I know that our small retreat will mean a disappointment to some who can't attend--I feel it myself when one of my online friends hosts an event or goes to an event that I can't attend. As we started the first few discussions when we realized we could make this retreat fantasy a reality, we just didn't know what to expect--will it be a handful of us knitting together, or a whole room full of like-minded crafters sharing ideas and yarn? I wish I could host these events all over the country and come and meet each one of you in person and thank-you for listening and participating in the Yarniacs community. Whether you can attend or no, if you have read this far into my sappy meanderings please know that you are a valued part of the Yarniacs community. Thanks so much for listening!

| 0:16.7 | How are you, Charlene? |
| 0:17.6 | I am doing good. |
| 0:19.4 | It's a nice sunny day in Santa Cruz. We have Indian summer weather upon us, which means it's hot and there's no air. It's very still, is what I should say. There's no breeze. Yeah, we have the doors and windows open, so there may be some... Burned be into noises. Charlene has very friendly hummingbirds. I don't think they're likely to come in the |
| 0:37.7 | house. I hope that I get to see a few while I'm sitting here. I actually noticed that one of my |
| 0:42.5 | feeders needs to be refilled. So you may not see any at that feeder. I can't see the feeder |
| 0:49.0 | from here. Okay. They float around. They actually land here in Charlene's yard, which I just love |
| 0:53.5 | it when they land. |
| 0:54.2 | They must never land in our backyard. |
| 0:55.8 | So I like that. |
| 0:57.6 | Every once in a while, we'll get multiples. |
| 1:00.5 | And right now, obviously, because seasons are changing, a lot of their natural food is going |
| 1:07.1 | away. |
| 1:08.1 | So we're having a lot more visits right now. To the feeders. |
| 1:11.2 | My mom just got a feeder, and now I want to get one too, because I don't want them to go away |
| 1:15.5 | because all of the plants are done with their blooms. |
| 1:18.6 | I love them. |
| 1:20.2 | All right, so what are you wearing? |
| 1:22.0 | I am wearing a pattern that as I was looking through my notes, Gail and I realized that I never talked about |
| 1:31.2 | this in our finishing segment. I talked about knitting it, and I knit it very quickly. So somehow |
| 1:38.8 | it skipped the finishing segment. I finished it just a few, a couple of weeks ago, actually about a month ago now. |
