And you may hear the sounds of birds in the background. We're at UCSC again. And there is a hawk that is making hawkies sounds. Yes, fairly close and crows. And letting us know that he's here. Yep. Maybe the crows and the hawks are harassing each other. Oh, that's probably, yeah. Probably. Very likely it.

Well, Gail and I attended an event this past weekend, the Yarni Axe Retreat.

It was a listener planned event and it was lovely.

One of the most amazing things about it was seeing everyone's

finished objects and what they wore. I brought one cardigan with me, my bowen by Elizabeth

Doherty. I knit this one back in the summer of 2020 and since then it has been one of my summer sweaters in

regular rotation. I knit it in a linen yarn from quince that when I looked up to write these notes,

I was surprised to see that this yarn is still being made. It's called Kestrel. I didn't realize it was still

being made because I don't think I've seen it in a store since before the pandemic. I have to be

honest, though this yarn is not a favorite of mine to work with, the sweater really is a favorite

of mine. The bowen is a favorite of mine.

The Bowen is a set in sleeve open front cardigan with knit on as you go front bands.

And I was recently stalking an open front cardigan that was made in Baroco Remix, and I realized that that cardigan is very similar to my

bowen and I'm thinking maybe I should just make the bowen again because I like that one so much
