| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to the Yarniaks podcast. |
| 0:11.0 | This is episode number 336, which we are recording on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. |
| 0:19.6 | I'm Gail. |
| 0:20.3 | And I'm Charlene. And it is Thanksgiving week in the U.S., |
| 0:24.2 | which means there has been a lot of traffic and a lot of people around, and the holidays have |
| 0:29.8 | officially started. Lots of people who apparently don't shop for groceries the rest of the year. |
| 0:35.7 | Yeah, because where do they all come from? |
| 0:37.6 | We say this to each other every year, and we never quite understand. |
| 0:42.7 | All right, what are you wearing? |
| 0:44.7 | Well, I have been wearing and having fun wearing all the shawls. |
| 0:50.3 | I have just been wearing a different shawl every day, purposefully, I guess, kind of, because |
| 0:57.7 | I've been looking at the shawls that I have in my drawer, trying to pick a different one |
| 1:06.7 | every day and just have fun with them. |
| 1:09.7 | And gosh, I love shawls. Awesome. I love to hear you say that. |
| 1:14.6 | And you wear them. Yes, I wear them a lot. And the one that I have been wearing a lot this week is my |
| 1:22.1 | inner piece shawl by Hoi Locatelli. I've made two of those, and I've actually worn both this week. |
| 1:31.1 | The inner piece shawl calls for 560 yards of yarn. So it's kind of an awkward amount if you typically |
| 1:42.0 | buy 400-yard skeins of fingering weight yarn, |
| 1:50.4 | because then you need just a little bit of a second skein. But when I made mine, there were a lot of |
| 1:56.3 | dyers that were selling these kind of jumbo 600 yards scades. |
| 2:02.6 | And I don't see those for sale too much anymore. |
| 2:08.1 | I think perhaps maybe the wholesaler who packaged them that way. |
