This is episode number 257, which we're recording on Sunday, October 31st, 2021 Halloween Day.

Hello, I'm Gail. I'm Charlene. We are recording together today in the car,

our mobile studio, and we are sitting in the beautiful forest that is the home of the

University of California at Santa Cruz. So we're not only together, we're

outside, away from both of our families. We have our boba tea. It's a Sunday. It's a delight,

an absolute delight. Absolute delight. All right, what are you wearing? I am wearing my hood

on the moon sweater.

I knit this pattern back in 2017.

I really liked the sweater when I knit it.

And then for some reason, just didn't wear it a lot.

I don't know why.

I looked at the date when I finished it and I think it might have been because I finished

it just about this time of year, four years ago.

And maybe I finished it at a time where the seasons were changing and I switched to warmer

sweaters. I don't know. That makes sense. It makes sense. But for some reason, this year,

it seems to be perfect. For this time of the year? For this time of year. Yeah. I dug it out, found it because I dug it out because it has

a hood. It is hood on the moon, as the name implies. It has a very large hood in the back. So it hangs down,

drapes in the back, keeps my back a little bit warm. It's that extra layer of warmth

on my back, which was why I sought this one out because I have this sore muscle under my shoulder

and sometimes I feel it on my back and I thought, oh, that little extra bit of warmth from the hood is going to feel good.
