And yesterday was the fall equinox. So fall is officially

here. It's very exciting. It feels like fall. I've already noticed that sunrise is later in the

morning and sunset is earlier in the evening. So it definitely feels like fall.

Yep. And it feels like our typical Indian summer fall a little bit too because it's been very

hot during the day, the last few days. And then the fog has rolled in and the sweaters have gone on.

Yes. There's that definite chill in the evening now.

Yep. I've been loving that. Ooh, I get to put on a sweater. I've even been wearing hats. So what are

you wearing? Well, this weekend, I did a little bit of traveling and I took my hipster shawl along with me. The hipster shawl

is a pattern by Hohelo Cotelli that I made back in January of this year. It's a one scan. I think

the pattern is written with fingering white. I used lace weight

on mine and it has little tassels, not tassels. Fringe, yes, little fringes along the edge. That kind of look like tassels because they're little groups of fringe instead of just lots of fringe hanging long.

And the pattern has double yarn overs, maybe triple yarn overs.

I don't even remember. So it creates the big

holes in the shawl and they're kind of symmetrical along. The shawl, really nice. It was a

comfortable item to travel with because I was able to throw it on over my shoulders. And when we got to our destination,

and it was a little chilly because there was air conditioning being used indoors, I was able to

throw that on and use it to keep my shoulders warm. Nice. Shawls are great to travel with.
