warm. But no sooner am I back in the studio than I am leaving it again because I'm about to get on a very, very long train to Cornwall for the G7 summit, which starts on Friday and runs through the weekend.

But we're going to do a preview of it in the next episode of Newscast on Thursday,

which will be a podcast and a TV show from the beach. But for today, we're going to do something a little bit different.

We're going to do one of those deep dives and it's a deep dive into the lab leak theory,

also known as where did COVID come from in the first place.

So a few weekends ago, I was sitting on a deck chair in my friend's back garden, reading the papers,

and I noticed the Lab Leak theory was back in a big way.

Now that is the idea that COVID isn't just some animal virus that spilled over naturally into the human population and then spread around the world,

but actually it came from a lab that was investigating viruses in Wuhan, in China, where the epidemic began.
