week's episode because it's been in the works for a while and it's a

case that we you know surprise surprise feel very strongly about so how are you?

I'm great yeah this case is crazy it's sad it's infuriating and it has been in the works for a while and I am glad we're

telling dusty story for his family and his supporters so it's gonna be a longer one

but that's because there's a lot to say. So let's get into today's case.

Dusty Turner has been incarcerated for over 20 years

for the 1995 murder of a woman named Jennifer Evans.

At the time, Dusty had just completed his Navy Steel

tactical training in Virginia. He was out at a bar with some friends in Virginia Beach

including his roommate and swim buddy Billy Brown. We had the opportunity to talk to some of the people involved in trying

to get justice for Dusty, including his mother. Dusty had been hanging out with Jennifer,

who he met at the bar in the early morning hours of June 17, 1995.

The two were talking in Dusty's car when Brown, who had been drinking all night, stumbled

into the car.

After a short exchange between Jennifer and Brown, Brown suddenly lunged at Jennifer and put her in a fatal chokehold.

Dusty tried to loosen his grip, but it was too late.

Realizing that she was dead, Dusty panicked and his seal training kicked in.
