Dr. James Dozolzol with me. Dr. Dozol it's good to see you again. Good to be here

again. Dr. Dozol is a professor at Karen University, teaches theology, and

church history and philosophy.

He's written a wonderful book called All That Is in God.

And in that book, you reference this particular figure

from the 1200s, and he's been very

formative on your thought and we're talking about Thomas Aquinas.

Yes, Thomas Aquinas perhaps isn't on the short list of favorite theologians

among Protestants nowadays though he was a formidable influence on Protestant and

reform thinkers in the 17th century.

Thomas is a Dominican monk,

lives from 1225 to about 1274.

So he's spanning most of the 1200s here and sometimes he's called the angelic doctor

Thomas O'Connor's right that's quite a title. No one has called me that.

One of the things I wanted to talk to you about,

the writings of Thomas Quine is this is a phenomenal literary output,

not only in terms of its breadth but also the variety of things

he was writing on. So just help us here. Walk us through what were some of the

writings of Thomas Aquinas? Thomas writes many different kinds of things.

All of them may be very deep, but surprising in their breadth.
