Summary

Walking worthy of Christ is not something Christians need to strive to do through self-effort. This is impossible through our own merit; we can only do this through faith in Jesus and in His finished works. God chose us to be holy and blameless even before we were conceived; seeing ourselves the way He sees us gives us clarity as to who we really are. Our identity as members of God’s royal family was sealed when we got born again. Our journey through life, therefore, is not based on us trying to achieve righteousness, but on the truth that as God’s children, we are already righteous. Part of our walk involves extending the same grace and mercy we have received to others; we can do this because we know that we are no longer condemned and no longer need to condemn others in their walk. Genuine belief in what God has done for us out of love humbles us and enables us to walk in a manner worthy of our high calling.

0:32.0	And I just want to review that because it has a whole lot to do with
0:37.4	Understanding that a lot of things we've been trying to do if we can take the sweat away and you can really understand God's
0:46.1	plan for walking worthy and doing the things that he asks you to do that most of the time Christians are doing
0:55.1	it based on their self-dependence and really not doing it to depend on God.
1:00.4	And they're, it's surrounded by, you know, the threats of things that happen when you
1:07.1	can't carry it out, but there's some things I want to show you today that I think will allow you to be successful
1:16.0	in this area of your life.
1:18.2	Ephesion chapter 4, verse 1.
1:21.7	Paul's writing here and he says, I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you to walk
1:28.8	worthy of the calling with which you were called. Now here is an appeal. Here is God
1:37.8	throughout the New Testament showing up with appeals. Lie not one to another.
1:45.0	Don't continue to be bitter.
1:47.0	If your hands have stolen, don't steal anymore.
