Oh no, first I read it and I was like serial killer blunders. But this just meets them going to be getting really pissed off with how incompetent the police are. Anyway, this episode has been written by Matt. I've never read it before. We're going to read it. We're going to learn about it. We're going to react to it together. I mean, I am. Ah, the police. The boys and girls in blue are charged with protecting the innocent and upholding the law. And while there might sound like a fantasy to a lot of people, that's what they're

meant to be doing. However, over

the lifetime of this channel, a theme has reared its ugly head time and time again, and that's

police incompetence. Whether it's simple, understandable mistakes or a gross misstep of epic

proportions, it has become the bane of this show and a constant headache for us writers. Honestly,

there Matt, it's usually not the, like, understandable

mistakes or the huge scrubs. It's usually the ones in the middle where it's just like, oh, they

just don't give that much of a shit. Or it's like, oh, yeah, it was a sex worker, it was killed.

They get killed all the time. Oh, yeah, that person ran away. I mean, people run away all the time. Oh yeah, that person ran away. I mean people run away all the time.

Oh my god, or it's like, oh that person's a bit powerful. Better leave them alone.

And today we're going to look at several of the most notorious police blunders in modern history.

That's right, dear audience. We're doing something a little new here.

Now usually we focus on a single killer or even have a list of killers with similar motives or age ranges. But today, we're here to discuss a medley of serial killers, many of whom have already been covered in previous episodes. And they all have one thing in common. They would have been caught a hell of a lot sooner, and many of their victims would have lived to see another day if the cops had simply done their
