This week, the Women's Tennis Association canceled all tournaments in China over the Chinese Communist Party's censorship of missing tennis star, Pung Shui.

The unprecedented move will likely cost the organization's hundreds of millions of dollars, but it's also the right move.

After claiming a high-ranking government officials sexually assaulted her, Pung Shui went missing. Only after a flood of international alarm, did China finally

produce rudimentary evidence of her safety, but it wasn't enough. While we know where Pung

is, I have serious doubts. She is free, safe, and not subject to censorship coercion and intimidation,

said WTA Chief Executive Steve Simon. That kind of thing

takes guts. Former U.S. Ambassador at large Kelly Eccles-Curie put it best. If you told me a week

and a half ago that the Women's Tennis Association was going to be the most effective and brave

human rights organization in the world, I would have thought you were bananas, but here we are.

And now the question is, will the rest of the world join in?
