We know that the lifeblood of this administration is being fucking corny. Oh, absolutely. Infinite corn balls. Yeah. These people, they just wanted to be posters or write books. Yeah. And they found themselves in positions of power. And in a main theme of this episode is one just totally incoherence. Like they do not have a narrative for this war that they're waging in the Middle East. Another Middle East war. We are promised no more. We're getting another one. Classic. But another theme is just that these guys are so incredibly corny and they're proud about it. Yeah. And I want to focus today, I want to start off focusing today on one Pete Heck Seth. Pete Hegg Seth for quite a while we've known has been very interested, more interested in slam poetry than in actually doing the job of like governing. Well, because he thinks that his slam poetry is like doing the war for it. Yeah, and hear me out. Violent effect, not politically correct. Right. We've been saying this. We've been saying this. And so, you know, in their attempt to justify this war and explain this war to the population as a whole to the media, Pete Higgseth gave a press conference late last week. I believe it was on Thursday.

And I just want to play a clip from this because once again, this guy is interested in slam poetry. He'd rather be doing that. It's always bangers. He really has a command of the English language, I would say. He really does. He's a compelling guy. So let's take a listen and try to survive this cordiness. I stand here today speaking to you, the American people. Don't point at me, bro.

1:13.4

Not through filters. cornyness. I stand here today speaking to you, the American people. Don't point at me, bro.

1:13.4

Not through filters, not through reporters, not through cable news spin. A dishonest and anti-Trump

1:23.5

press will stop at nothing. We know this at this point. To downplay progress,

1:29.6

amplify every cost, and call into question every step. Sadly, TDS is in their DNA.

1:39.3

They want President Trump to fail. But you, the American people, know better. Dude, it's the pauses. The pauses get me every single time. Why does he speak in haikus? I don't know. Like, they got TDS in their DNA. Like, brother, just tell us how you're going to get the troops home. Just deliver the news. Just deliver whatever you have to say. Like you do not need to spend an hour and a half every morning writing this out, writing out how you're going to get the troops home. Exactly. Just deliver the news. Just deliver whatever you have to say. Like, you do not need to spend an hour and a half every morning writing this out, writing out how you're going to chastise the press this time. It's deranged. Practicing in the mirror before you call the cable news deranged, even though that you... Even those being broadcast over cable news. I was going to say, like, he was a cable news guy. Oh my God. Like he was at Fox News. It's just, it's so funny, man. And I don't know how Pete Higgs-eth

2:20.3

constantly chastising the president. I was going to say like he was a cable news guy. Oh my God. Like he was at Fox News. It's just, it's so funny, man.

2:18.5

And I don't know how Pete Higgiseth constantly chastising the press.

2:22.3

I don't know how he thinks that doesn't look terrible for him.

2:25.1

Yeah.

2:25.3

Well, there's another quote from him at like another press conference where he was saying something along the lines of um, all the press does is criticize President Trump and try and figure out what we did wrong.

2:34.2

And it's like, yeah, that's their job. That's what they do, man. That's 100% what they're supposed to do. Guys like Pete Hagsath and Donald Trump and this administration just want to have all the power that they can without ever being questioned for any of the things that they do. They think that like they had this like bangor, beautiful idea and that they can just go execute without being accountable to literally anybody without being accountable to the people

2:53.9

who pay the taxes that fund. that like they had this like bangor beautiful idea and that they can just go execute without

2:51.1

being accountable to literally anybody without being accountable to the people who pay the taxes

2:54.6

that fund their operations without being accountable to the press that exists solely to keep

2:58.7

them accountable without even being accountable to other people in the administration because

3:02.2

they all tell you a different story they've all got a different spin on something and they're all

3:05.6

telling those different spins at the same time on different news channels that they criticize.

3:09.5

Well, they won by 1.5% in a low turnout election. Exactly. So they have the mandate of heaven. Of course. Of course. Who am I to question any of the things that they do? I just, I don't know how he thinks it looks good, man, to be chastising the press. And there was another quote from like early last week, I think, when he's like, a more patriotic press would put this in their headlines.

3:25.8

It's like, like, it's, I think, when he's like, a more patriotic press would put this in their headlines.

3:25.8

It's corny, right? It's incredibly corny. Everybody should laugh at this guy. I don't want the press to be patriotic. No. I want the press to fucking hate whoever's in power. Even if we had a leftist in power, I'd want the press to be adversarial because that's the point. Exactly. No, they're supposed to find out what you're doing wrong.
