Not every wife has the opportunity to be a Spartan wife necessarily. Maybe she does, but she doesn't have a fierce husband, maybe.

Speaking to the fruitful vine wife, the wife who is married to a fierce man, you know the couple I'm talking about that you want your marriage to be like.

Those women should be around you.

They should be inviting you in to their space, and you should be gleaning from them how they are living their lives, how they are loving their husband, how they are being that Spartan wife, and they're guarding against bitterness.

They don't talk about their husbands

in a bad light. Our husbands have flaws. There's every right for any of us to be talked about badly,

but the Lord instructs us not go down that path. That's why Christ gave us his spirit was so that we

could discern these things so that we would not be without him.

It's as if Christ is sitting with kitchen table and you're able to ask him,

am I being self-righteous in this anger or is this holy anger?

You can ask your good God.

One of my favorite scenes is in the movie 300. And of course, everybody knows it when, you know, Gerard Butler says, this is Sparta. And he kicks the guy and he falls. You know, it's like this like moment of bravery, courage, justice in the face of like. That's not the scene you're talking about, though. No, that's not the scene I'm talking about. Actually, the scene that I just love is when they're headed out. It's like the 300 against all of the armies of this, I think it's Xerxes in the movie, if I'm not mistaken. And as he's going, all of his men are walking into the horizon, like through the grain fields. And he looks back at his wife and you know he can tell

he's trying to be brave and he is being brave but he's you know he knows where he's going and what

what's going to happen and the odds are not against or they're not for him they're against him

and she looks at him and just says come back with your shield or on it and he just like nods at her and turns and walks away.

And what she means is like go fight.

Like go fight and do what you were designed to do.

Go win this war or die trying to win.

And what that takes a unique woman to have that level of perspective

to have that level of what what do I how do want to say it on that level of conviction

over what the man is fighting for and and so last week, we talked about the title of the episode was,
