Turn, please, to the third chapter of Matthew this evening.

Now, let me give you a little bit more instruction of what we're going to do in this study.

You know, I'm reading the chapters just like you are.

That would be wrong for me to do anything else.

I'm reading them just a chapter, and then I read that chapter in my study notes, you know,

with all the Greek stuff and all that.

So I'm taking some time looking at each word, and I'm making notes, and dear me.

I mean, how could we ever cover all that's in there? We can't. We cannot do a verse by

verse study of this. And I don't think that's what we're supposed to do. And nor is it our purpose,

I believe, that we should try to study all the teachings of Jesus. But what are we looking for?

What does the title suggest?

The works and the what?

The ways of Jesus.

That's what we're looking for.

So I'll deal with verses that you have read, and then I may go back and look at verses

that you've already read, and we may, you know, we'll may go back and look at verses that you've already read and we may

you know we'll be going back and forth throughout the study and of course one good thing about it

is when you finish Matthew then you're going to start what mark so you're going to be looking at

some of the same things again right then we're going to look at them again in Luke then we're

going to look at them again in John amen Then we're going to look at them again in John.

Amen.

And we're going to be in better shape by the time we finish this.
