Well, don't you go ahead and turn with me in the scripture this evening while we're completing this.

To Psalm 103.

And then also Matthew 1.

Psalm 103 and Matthew 1.

And Matthew 1.

Now we began, I guess, six weeks ago, our very first service, we began a series on truth or tradition.

And in praying and seeking the Lord about, you know, what kind of church this is supposed to be

and what its foundation is supposed to be and what its purpose and outreach is supposed to be,

I was impressed that we want to be built solidly on the truth and not on just men's ideas.

And we spent six sessions looking and talking about the difference between the truth

of the word versus the tradition of men.

And Jesus made such a powerful statement in Matthew.

He said the word of God was made

of none effect by the traditions of men. And there's a whole lot of things that people practice

like it's the Bible, and there's no scripture for it. Our doctrines that they hold steadfastly will

fight you over, but they don't have verse one for it.

So, you know, you remember the, what is it, the commercial years ago that the woman drove

through the hamburger place and she hollered, where's the beef?

We've been hollering, where's the scripture?

Amen. Anytime somebody's got something they want to talk to you about or think you ought to do or that they believe, that you ought to

believe, that's the question to ask. Where's the scripture? And not just somebody's idea of what a

half a verse might have meant. No, if it's really a Bible truth, you'll see it
