Hey, this is Durey and we're going to file a third of the P.1.

This episode is me, Kaya, DR, and Miles as usual talking about all the news that you

don't know.

And I'm actually recording this on the road because, you know, I'm still an activist.

I'm traveling across the country, meeting with legislators and testifying with four city

councils and I'm on the road today.

But I got to talk to Jonathan Kass, the incredible author of Gangsters of Capitalism.

I learned so much in the conversation I know that you will too.

You have to get this book must, must, must.

My advice for this week is to remember that the work continues.

The best way to honor Dr. King and all the people who risked their lives for us, who

came before us, is to do the work wherever we are.

It's why I'm in the airport right now recording because I got to get it in and I have to travel

to another city that I didn't necessarily plan to be in, but want to be here because the

work of organizing is community work.

My news this week is about the Virginia Beach Police Department because they were using

forged documents with fake DNA evidence looking like it came from the Virginia Department

of Forensic Science in order to get confessions from people.

They did it on at least five occasions in between March 2016 and February 2020, which is

wild.
