If you would look, please, in Luke the fourth chapter, Luke chapter four, we began a while

back a series that we're calling the Word of Power, the Word of Power. And we've already covered quite a bit.

And there's revelation that shows us how to not be defeated, not be overcome, but how to rule and to reign

in this life, here and now.

In Luke 4, we see in the very early days of Jesus ministry, verse 32, Luke 432, some of the first messages

that he spoke after he had been baptized in the river and the Spirit of God had come on

him, Luke 432, they were astonished at his doctrine or his teaching, for his word was with power.

Everybody said out loud, his word was with power.

It didn't just say they were impressed.

What did it say?

Astonished.

Now that's a strong word.

They were just, we might say, blown away.

They were like, whoa, did you hear him preach?

Not because it was so intriguing intellectually, but because it was so

powerful, powerful. In verse 33, in the synagogue, there was a man that had a spirit,

cried out with a loud voice, said, Let us alone.

What have we to do with you?

Jesus rebuked him, said, hold your peace and come out of him.

Verse 36, they were all amazed and spoke among themselves saying, what a word is this?
