wrote this incredible story about going to the easternmost edges of Russia on this adventure. And she

wrote that this is why I traveled to demythologize fear of the unknown. And I think a lot of

people think about adventure travel as having, you know, a little bit of fear out the gate. So what do you guys

think constitutes adventure travel in the first place? Do you have to be bungee jumping or

like jumping out of a plane to call it adventure travel? Well, that is a great question because

I've been in this industry since 1978 where adventure travel was just kind of being coined here in the United States.

And what is really interesting is I think it has never really changed.

And maybe some of the activities have changed and some of the destinations have changed.

But we've done a lot of surveys of women, and we find out that they are

very passionate about the whole idea of adventure travel, but also it kind of underscores the

idea that I think there's so many different meanings for women. I think, you know, I think that

for men, oftentimes that traditional definitions maybe been more athletic or maybe more challenging,

more physical.
