On a balmy night in July 1995, a hot new country singer took the stage at Opryland Park in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dressed in tight jeans, high black pumps, and a gauzy black cape, she didn't look like a traditional

country singer. But thousands of fans screaming her name that night didn't seem to care.

Faith Hill was part of a new generation of female country singers who dominated the 1990s,
