in 2015 where a man was holding a funeral for his wife who had very recently passed away

in a horrible car crash. At least, that's what he told people. As everyone mourned and cried,

the very last funeral attendee walked in.

It was the woman that they thought they had just buried. She was alive despite someone's attempt

to murder her. And now she was about to crash her own funeral and tell everything.

Outlaw.

Today, I bring you a heaped serving of murder for hire, betrayal, and a woman so iconic

that she let someone think that they had killed her just so that she could rock up to her very

own funeral and humiliate them. It sounds like a movie, right? But this is a real story. And

before we get any further, I do want to warn you that in this episode we're going to be

covering a lot of sensitive topics, including violence, kidnapping and murder. So as always,

viewer discretion is advised.

So let's start this case from the very beginning.

Let me introduce you to Noella Rukunda.

At the time of this case, she was in her 30s

and she'd been living in Melbourne, Australia for about a decade.

She had moved there from Burundi in East Africa in 2004 with her five kids.

Five!

Bear in mind she was in her 20s when she moved, so Noella was a mamma to many at a very early

age, a single mama too.

Honestly, we barely know any more details about her life, especially pre-Melbore.
