It does play with your head. After 18 years you do learn to kind of compartmentalize it and you go like this is awfully sad but this hasn't

happened to me. The families don't need me to be another sad person for them. They need me to help.

I printed out a picture of the book cover and I stuck it on the wall next to my computer and every so often I'll just look at them and remember why I did this because it's about these faces that need me to speak for them.

And every so often I look at them and just go,

oh, okay, I feel a bit teary today

because I get to speak for them,

and which is a privilege for me.
