Good evening, children. It's Granny McDuff, ready with a story.

So make yourselves comfy, and I'll begin.

Once upon a time, there lived a witch called Grittlefell.

She was a good witch who lived in a small house inside a mountain.

So big was the mountain that it held a whole secret world inside of it.

Grittlefell's house was in a thick forest.

Not many lived inside the mountain.

Only Grittlefell and a small group of mountain goblins. They lived and worked inside the forest of the mountain.

Next to Grittlefell's house was an enormous tree that had lived for thousands of years.

It was the wishing tree, the only one of its kind.

The goblins came every week to make their wishes.

They had a deal with Grittlefell.

As long as she did not disturb the wishing tree, she was allowed to stay.

And years before, she had placed a spell on the mountain, protecting it from all intruders.

And so they lived in harmony for some time.

But the witch was growing tired of the tree, for the tree talked all the time.
