I still live in a small suburban city in Los Angeles County.

There's a small area of blocks where the houses are older.

I used to think it was because of the old houses, but after my own experience, things changed.

My aunt once told me about how she saw a woman pushing a small cart along the dark street

after getting off the bus in order to get some steps in.

It was around the time that fit bit and step counters were in.

It was her first time getting off so far away from her house, so she was scared by how

dark the streets seemed to get over on that side.

There are large trees aligning the old streets in that area, which is odd since no other

part of the city is like that.

A person walking around was not uncommon, but the way she described her seemed oddly familiar

to another story I heard from a high school friend.

Both of them described her as an old woman, almost completely bent over, pushing along

an old squeaky cart down the sidewalks, sometimes drifting off into the grass part by the

curb.

She wore a strange hat that bent just like long hairboard, slightly up at first, and then

down her back.

I trusted my aunt's description more, since my friend had told me that she had a tail

like a rat.

When my friend told me the story, he said to watch out for the rat woman, and I just kind
