off recording the It Books of January. Some of those books, yeah, it's going to be weird because

this is going to come out before. It's all over the place. Having said that, it's draft time.

It's a good season. January table is a very good season, it seems like. Do we need to take anything off the board? I don't think so. I don't think so either. Yeah, there's nothing. Yeah, there are a couple that we're going to be competing over, I think, but there's nothing like the new Colson Whitehead that we're just going to take off the board. We'll get to do that this summer. Even not for vote getting? Does Colson White, I mean, there's what we want to read, but like, does it, does it matter that much for the vote getting? I'm not even sure. Like, what book by what author would need to come out that we'd have to fight over. And it's been a while since we just took somebody off the board.

It might, it was in that season where we had Whitehead and Zadie and Franzen and Erdrich all together.

But that might have been the year that was the first of the new Colson Whitehead.

Like this summer, which now we're

just seasons ahead of ourselves, but this is the third in the trilogy. And so there's also, I don't

think we have to take that one off the board. We're coming into a really good season. I think the

results of our fall draft tell us something about the season we're coming out of. Because it's never

close. Like usually one of us

trounces the other one. Yeah. And it's one or two books, right? Usually it's one that moves

a needle. And yeah. And in our fall draft, I got 51.4% of the vote and you got 48.6% of the

vote. That is the closest I've ever seen it in a draft by a lot. And I think that's a

reflection of the fact that there weren't like a bunch of big titles or even just a couple

titles that would have really moved the needle. I won on having Angela Flournoy and Patricia

Lockwood and Zadie Smith altogether.
