You haven't found your calling, but you feel like basketball could be the thing for you.

For you to stand out. You like basketball, right?

You grew up playing. Your dad's a track coach and encourages you every day. You just wish it was easier.

Coach T-Garden. Oh man, you're not ready for him to see what you can do yet.

Oh, hey coach, just practicing my free throws.

I can see that. In fact, I see you in here every day after school.

Well, if you want to make Varsity and play with Heather and I have to practice, here's the thing.

You know how people are born with certain gifts? Yes.

I take Larry Bird, right? He's tall. Everyone knew he would play basketball.

He grew four inches in his senior year. I feel like I'm destined for a growth spurt.

Listen, what I'm trying to say is not everyone can be an athlete.

Natural athletic abilities are a gift when you are born with them. It may not be one of your gifts.
